Laser machining

Designed for the production of cutting tools in ultra-hard materials and featuring 6 simultaneously interpolated axes, the LaserSmart®810XL is ideally suited for machining tools up to 300 mm (12”) in diameter, 350 mm (14”) in length and up to 15 kg (33 lbs.) in weight. An automatic robot with a capacity of 30 parts is included as standard. The LaserSmart®810XL is the perfect solution for machining ultra-hard tools used in the automotive, aerospace and woodworking industries.

The LaserSmart®510 femto with its innovative and powerful femto laser source provides unlimited machining possibilities. Maximizing productivity, precision, and surface quality; the femto laser source builds upon the success of the LaserSmart series. Not only are PCD, P-CBN, CVD, MCD, and natural diamond materials feasible, but also Ceramics, Carbide, Sapphire, Glass, or even new material combinations.

These revolutionary machine processes allow customers to achieve the results that set the new standard in ultra-hard material machining.

The new LaserSmart 510 has been designed to allow for faster cutting speeds of up to 450% over conventional laser machining. The laser machining process used on this machine is infinitely superior to any other traditional method of machining super-hard materials such as PCD, CVD diamond, monocrystalline diamond, natural diamond and PCBN.
